Happy New Year !

Dear partners,

A year of commitment to the fight against discrimination, justice and the defence of the rule of law has passed, and another is beginning : VoxPublic is determined to continue its mission.

In 2025, VoxPublic carried on with its work in a political climate marked by serious democratic tensions, the normalisation of far-right rhetoric and violence, increasing pressure on civil society, and a worrying decline in freedom of association in France.

We worked alongside organisations and collectives representing those most exposed to discrimination and injustice, in order to strengthen their ability to make their voices heard and influence public decisions.

Throughout the year, our work has been structured around three strategic priorities that will continue to guide our actions in 2026 :

• combating discrimination and promoting social and environmental justice, in particular by supporting exiles, vulnerable groups, racialised people, LGBTQIA+ people and victims of institutional violence ;

• defending the rule of law, freedom of association and democracy in the face of political and legal threats and violence targeting civil society organisations ;

• addressing digital and democratic issues by holding social media platforms accountable for discrimination, online hate speech and the harmful effects of their algorithms on public debate and social cohesion.

Committed to its values and missions, VoxPublic acts in a spirit of empowerment by supporting its partners in their political, media and legal advocacy strategies.

We also facilitate inter-organisational cooperation by pooling resources and developing free tools : directories of decision-makers and journalists, advocacy platforms, guides and methodological fact sheets, in order to strengthen the impact of collective action.

At the start of 2026, our objective remains unchanged : to put our expertise at the service of grassroots organisations and the people concerned in order to advance equality, fundamental rights and social and environmental justice in a context of ongoing political uncertainty.

The year will be marked by municipal elections, a key moment for defending the values of solidarity and democracy. With political forces opposed to these values likely to increase their influence and power, both locally and nationally, this election represents a direct challenge to the causes we support.

VoxPublic and its partners reaffirm their commitment to a fair, inclusive, solidarity-based and democratic society.
